
Padaa!
Social awareness campaign addressing period poverty

The campaign encourages UK-based girls and young women to create reusable, washable cloth pads, giving confidence and power to those who cannot access proper menstrual products. Beyond pad creation, Padaa! fosters open conversation about periods through educational resources, an online forum, and social sharing. The app guides users in making and using cloth pads with sewing patterns and addresses digital inequality. Its content is also available in print, allowing users to download, share, and distribute it offline, optionally alongside their crafted pad. Promotion extends online through a TikTok In-Feed Ad highlighting safe alternatives and emphasising creativity and empowerment.
Out of more than 6,000 entries, this project received an award at the Creative Conscience Awards 2022.
